Raymond/South Bend put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 69-13 win over Chief Leschi. Raymond/South Bend's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Raymond/South Bend's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kassie Koski, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Koski is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Avalyn Stigall was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Meanwhile, Forks came tearing into Wednesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Ilwaco with points to spare, taking the game 66-49.
Raymond/South Bend has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Forks, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Raymond/South Bend came up short against Forks in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 56-51. Can Raymond/South Bend avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
