After flying high against East Central last Friday, Tahlequah came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sapulpa Chieftains on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chieftains apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Despite the defeat, Tahlequah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Michael Torkelson picked up 97 receiving yards and one score.
