On Friday, Brewer strolled past Seagoville with points to spare, taking the game 51-36. Given Brewer's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Seagoville is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Julian Perez, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brewer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre King, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Gonzalez, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Gregory Fossett, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals.
Brewer's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Seagoville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Brewer is on the road again on Friday and play against Wylie East at 5:50 p.m. on December 1st. As for Seagoville, they will take on Poteet at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
