Meanwhile, Cedar Key scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Countryside Christian, posting a 60-33 win at home. Cedar Key didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Cedar Key's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sammy Cannon led the charge by scoring 25 points. Cannon is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Micah DeHaven was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
St. John Lutheran has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Cedar Key, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
St. John Lutheran strolled past the Sharks in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 53-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. John Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
