KIPP DC Legacy College Prep found their leader in underclassman Marlon Calhoun, who scored 29 points. The contest was Calhoun's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ma'Siah Holliday, who scored nine points.
KIPP DC Legacy College Prep pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Digital Pioneers Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP DC Legacy College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ballou at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Ballou is ranked 15th, while KIPP DC Legacy College Prep is ranked 24th). As for Digital Pioneers Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against SEED DC at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully SEED DC focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
