Paulding has been on the road for three straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Liberty Center Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Paulding will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Liberty Center is ranked 85th).
While it was all tied up 23-23 at halftime, Paulding was not quite Tinora's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 52-40 to the Rams.
Despite the loss, Paulding saw an underclassman step up: Addi Pease scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Dunham, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty Center earned a 55-45 victory over Patrick Henry on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Liberty Center.
Paulding has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Liberty Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.
Paulding was taken down by Liberty Center 58-27 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Paulding was down 30-9.
