This season hasn't been kind to the Faith Christian Lions, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vanguard College Prep on Saturday.
Leading Vanguard College Prep to victory were Desmond Taylor and Gustavo Mora. Taylor scored 20 points along with 3 steals, while Mora scored 20 points along with 4 steals. Taylor continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Muriithi, who scored 4 points along with 13 rebounds and 4 steals.
Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Vanguard College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will take on Paradise Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vanguard College Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tioga at 6:30 p.m.
