Junior Reed Lanter and senior Tanner Crawford were among the main playmakers for Boyle County as the former passed for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns and the latter rushed for 154 yards and 1 touchdown. If you haven't heard Lanter's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past nine games.
After a string of three wins, Mercer County's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. Mercer County didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 21-26 to Taylor County.
