The Mountain View Thunder were the 68-61 winner over the Spanaway Lake Sentinels when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mountain View fell just short of Spanaway Lake by a score of 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Spanaway Lake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamel Brim out in front who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Preston, who scored 18 points.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Spanaway Lake, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie and Mountain View are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Spanaway Lake, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully River Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
