Two dominant guards in Iniya Charlton and Tylia Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Trinity Trojans will head out on the road to square off against John Hay at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Trinity gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Fairview 64-23 on the road. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Warriors are ranked 627th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'oshania Bennett, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Bennett hasn't dropped below three steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Charlton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals.
Meanwhile, John Hay came up short against the Tigers on Saturday and fell 51-43. John Hay has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
