Girard was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Struthers on Monday. The Indians blew past the Wildcats 7-1. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Pierson Ginocchi looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Girard's win was truly a team effort as nine different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Hynes, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Hynes has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Girard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Girard's record now sits at 12-8. As for Struthers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Girard will have a chance to go back-to-back against Struthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
