The Dinuba Emperors will face off against the Golden West Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Golden West will be up against a hot Dinuba team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Dinuba narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Reedley 5-3. While the Emperors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Neveah Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Dinuba let Cambria Alderete and Hope Diaz run wild. Alderete went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base, while Diaz went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Alderete's first of the season. Olivia Patterson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Dinuba lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Golden West hadn't done well against Hanford recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Golden West came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanford, sneaking past 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trailblazers.
Erin Fawkes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hayden Oliveira, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Katylina Legazpi, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Dinuba pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Golden West, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Dinuba was able to grind out a solid win over Golden West in their previous meeting back in April of 2018, winning 5-1. Will Dinuba repeat their success, or does Golden West has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
