It was a good run, but the Ridgevue Warhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to Middleton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ridgevue in their matchups with Middleton: they've now lost seven in a row.
Ridgevue's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Tiddens, who scored 16 points. Tiddens scored a full 32.7% of Ridgevue's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javonte Boles, who scored 14 points.
Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Middleton, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgevue will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Canyon Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Middleton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
