The Ridgway/Johnsonburg 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 51-13 loss at the hands of Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley. Ridgway/Johnsonburg lost against Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 26-19 score last time.
Leading Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley to victory were Brody Dittman and Trey Fleming. Dittman threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while Fleming picked up 225 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Fleming's longest reception was for an incredible 97 yards. Owen Bish was another key contributor, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Ridgway/Johnsonburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.
Ridgway/Johnsonburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley will be playing at home against Punxsutawney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
