C. Milton Wright is 1-6 against Patterson Mill since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against Patterson Mill at 3:30 p.m. C. Milton Wright is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
C. Milton Wright will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Monday, then bounced right back against Aberdeen last Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Eagles 16-1. The Mustangs have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Madalyn Hoskins made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brooke Lusby was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Kendra Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
C. Milton Wright was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Patterson Mill had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.
The result came thanks to Lily Baldwin's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mackenzie Knight was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Ward, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Patterson Mill pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for C. Milton Wright, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. C. Milton Wright hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. However, it's not like Patterson Mill struggles in that department as they've averaged .382. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
C. Milton Wright might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from Patterson Mill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
