The New Underwood Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Newell at home to the tune of 84-14. The win was some much needed relief for New Underwood as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Underwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Beer, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assist. Another player making a difference was Cash Albers, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
New Underwood now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Newell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Underwood will take on Lyman at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyman is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Newell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Philip at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
