The Atlantic City Vikings will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Williamstown Braves at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Atlantic City is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Williamstown in New Jersey (Atlantic City is ranked 44th, while Williamstown is ranked 157th).
Last Wednesday, Atlantic City strolled past Atlantic County Institute of Tech with points to spare, taking the game 41-25. The victory was just what Atlantic City needed coming off of a 60-25 defeat in their prior match.
Atlantic City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Finks, who scored 13 points. Frank Gilliam was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Williamstown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Kingsway 75-47.
Atlantic City's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Williamstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Atlantic City didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Williamstown when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlantic City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
