West Carter were able to grind out a solid win over Lewis County on Friday, winning 28-18. The success made it back-to-back wins for West Carter.
The victory bumped West Carter's record up to 5-4. Lewis County's loss pushes them down to 2-7.
After their clash against one another, the teams are taking a break from conference action in their upcoming games. Next week West Carter will take on Fairview at 7:00 PM. Fairview took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse West Carter's good fortune. As for Lewis County, they will face off against Mason County. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
