 On Mt. Vernon's side,  Hannah West made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Mason, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 North Posey's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Mt. Vernon, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost ten of their last 13 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record  this season.
 North Posey will be playing in front of their home fans against Tecumseh at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Tecumseh's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last five matches. As for Mt. Vernon, they will face off against Evansville Bosse at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
