There's no place like home for the Clearview Pioneers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 51-50 photo finish over Penns Grove. That's another feather in the cap for Clearview, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Penns Grove still got an impressive performance from Giomar Conrad, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Mekhi Ballard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Clearview's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Penns Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Clearview will be playing in front of their home fans against Timber Creek Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Penns Grove, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Washington Township at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Penns Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
