Baseball Recap: Myers Park Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Myers Park barely beat South Mecklenburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Sabres on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Myers Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Mecklenburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Myers Park will head out on the road to take on Berry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. South Mecklenburg will be paying especially close attention to Myers Park's match: after Myers Park faces off against Berry, they'll take on South Mecklenburg again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
