In what's become a running theme this season, the Notre Dame Prep Saints gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 83-17 victory over Desert Mountain at home. The win was nothing new for Notre Dame Prep as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Notre Dame Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Frankel out in front who scored 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frankel has scored all season. Ava Pautz was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 19-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Desert Mountain, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Cactus Shadows will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked 20th). Desert Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th.
