Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took a hard  41-26 fall against Telos. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Telos apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in February of 2024.
 When it comes to explaining why Mount Vernon lost, don't look at  Andre Hernandez. Despite the final result, he  posted 16  points and seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Pablo Lopez, who  earned three points and four  steals.
 Telos got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jacobb Prussman out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and 17  boards. With that strong performance,  Prussman is now averaging an impressive 8.9  rebounds per game.  Garrett Plott was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and 11  boards.
Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Telos,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-14.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Utah School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00  p.m.  on February 5th. As for Telos, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Pinnacle  at 2:30  p.m.  on February 1st.
