South Bend Clay is 0-4 against Glenn since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, South Bend Clay brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They didn't even let North Newton onto the board and left with a 54-0 win back in September.
Meanwhile, Glenn was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They blew past South Bend Washington 53-20 on the road. Glenn pushed the score to 39-14 by the end of the third, a deficit South Bend Washington had little chance of recovering from.
Chase Miller looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 109 yards and two touchdowns.
Finally capturing their first victory of the season, South Bend Clay advanced to 1-5. As for Glenn, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
South Bend Clay took a serious blow against Glenn when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 49-6. Can South Bend Clay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
