Despite the loss, Innovation Montessori saw an underclassman step up: Trevor Thorsen scored 22 points along with three steals. Khalid Imran was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three blocks and two steals.
Brevard HEAT's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Innovation Montessori, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
Brevard HEAT will be playing at home against Florida Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Innovation Montessori, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Regency Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Regency Christian Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
