Eureka is 10-0 against Erie since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Eureka Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Erie Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Eureka will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Eureka can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Bluestem on the road to the tune of 63-34. Given Eureka's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Bluestem is ranked 170th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Erie had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Sedan with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 44-25.
Alexandra Pasquarelli continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jacksen Powell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Eureka has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Everything came up roses for Eureka against Erie in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-29 win. Does Eureka have another victory up their sleeve, or will Erie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
