The Pius X Thunderbolts can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Lincoln High, posting a 77-48 victory on the road. Given Pius X's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Lincoln High is ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Treyson Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pius X's points. Parker Kelly was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Pius X has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Lincoln High, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pius X will challenge Lincoln East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pius X's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lincoln High, they will head out on the road to face off against Gretna East at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
