The Bristol Warriors waltzed into Friday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They pulled ahead with a 7-6 photo finish over New Hope-Solebury. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bristol also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Kendell Cottrell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Cottrell is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.
Bristol's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Renaissance Academy and 0-8 Renaissance Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 23.5% over those games). As for New Hope-Solebury, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Bristol will take on West Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season. New Hope-Solebury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
