On Saturday, the Clarinda Cardinals didn't have quite enough to beat the Bennington Badgers and fell  2-1.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Clarinda sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 18-25,  15-10.
 Bennington can attribute much of their success to  Evynn Olsen, who  had 15  digs.
 Clarinda's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Bennington, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record  this season.
 Clarinda's road trip will continue as they head out to face Atlantic on Tuesday. As for Bennington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  loss against Treynor on the 19th.
