For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Boynton Beach has suffered since December 13, 2023.
Boynton Beach's loss came despite strong showings from Mitshev Duquency and Marvis Pementer. Duquency scored 22 points along with six rebounds, while Pementer scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duquency has scored all season. Christopher Osborn was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 rebounds.
Leading Inlet Grove to victory were Ty?Rique Alty and Robert Brown. Alty scored 14 points along with two steals, while Brown scored 27 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Inlet Grove's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Marcus Johnson, who scored nine points.
Boynton Beach has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Inlet Grove, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Boynton Beach will head out on the road to challenge Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Boca Raton's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Boynton Beach has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road. Inlet Grove will take on Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Newman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
