After a string of six wins, the Lincoln County Lynx's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Virgin Valley by a score of 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lincoln County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kalen Bart, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Marc Mcclain who scored 16 points along with six assists and four steals. Bart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Rowdy Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Virgin Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will take on Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Virgin Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eldorado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
