Fairview is 10-0 against North East since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fairview Tigers will look to defend their home court against the North East Grape Pickers at 7:30 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Fairview came up short against Girard and fell 56-43. While losing is never fun, Fairview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Girard is ranked 108th).
Meanwhile, North East waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 56-43 win over Iroquois.
Fairview's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-12. As for North East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Fairview skirted past North East 51-49 when the teams last played back in January. Does Fairview have another victory up their sleeve, or will North East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
