Newton County took down West Lauderdale 33-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jamoral Graham threw for 75 yards and ran for 103 yards in the win.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Graham and DeRyan Wansley proved tough for the Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Wansley was the best wideout in 4A Region 5 this week as Jackie Williamson's team beat Stan McCain's team. Wansley racked up 4 receptions for 42 yards.
Jarrell McCann was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 131 yards on 15 carries as Northeast Jones bested the Knights. Marlan Griffin also contributed to the rushing game with 101 yards on the ground.
Graham put up the best numbers through the air as Newton County topped West Lauderdale.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Cougars' Jacob Edwards and De'Andre Wansley have proven to be a lethal combination. Edwards has thrown for 668 yards this season, while Wansley, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 12 catches for 262 yards. Griffin from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 448 yards.
Forrest County Agricultural led 4A Region 5 in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Purvis.
