This edition of high school football Stat Freaks is headlined by
Landon Duckworth of
Jackson (Ala.), who accounted for six touchdowns in 49-7 win over Mobile Christian (Mobile) on Friday.
Duckworth completed 24 of 31 pass attempts for 535 yards and five touchdowns. On the ground, the junior added 44 yards and a score on just three carries. The Jackson star is the No. 7-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2026 and his 17 offers include include Arkansas, Nebraska and Oregon.
Junior
Niko Carestia of
Schuylkill Haven (Pa.) is also coming off a big night. Carestia ran for 277 yards and seven touchdowns on 23 carries in a 72-52 win over
Minersville. He was also a major contributor on the other side of the ball with 12 tackles and a sack.
Mintersville got a big performance of its own from junior quarterback
Dante Carr, who threw for 403 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 143 yards and four scores.
Senior
Corbin Johnson of
South Decatur (Greensburg, Ind.) is another two-way player star from the weekend. Johnson rushed for 278 yards and four touchdowns while intercepting three passes and returning two of them for touchdowns in a 53-12 win.
The longest kick of the week was from the foot of
St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) senior
Evan Noel, who set a school record with a 61-yard field goal.
