Schuylkill Haven hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Shenandoah Valley fell victim to Minersville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 21-0 to the Battlin' Miners. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Shenandoah Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Schuylkill Haven, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
