Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canyon Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emanuel Custard, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Custard's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Te?Shawn Spencer, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Basic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alvonte' Nelson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Christian Baltierrez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Canyon Springs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Basic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Canyon Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Palo Verde at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Palo Verde is ranked 27th, while Canyon Springs is ranked 36th). As for Basic, they will head out on the road to square off against Bonanza at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonanza has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
