Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Austin walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Florence Falcons a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Black Bears, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Austin's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 39-18-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Florence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-26.

Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florence, they have already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Sparkman on the 6th.
