They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Mission College Prep 72-39 on the road. Given Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 15th in Arizona, while Mission College Prep is ranked 656th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kyle Grier, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 2 assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Wallace, who scored 18 points.
Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Mission College Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Valley Christian is on the road again on Friday and play against Timpview at 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Timpview is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.4 points per game. Mission College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountain View at 1:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Mountain View is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
