Greenfield-Central got a great performance from Addie Heacox as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Heacox has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kristen Wineinger was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted four RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Savvanna Riall, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles.
Greenfield-Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Franklin Central waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Marauders.
