The Fitch Falcons only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 30-point they dealt the East Lyme Vikings on Friday. Fitch claimed a resounding 73-43 victory over East Lyme on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Fitch who now have three in a row.
Fitch was led to victory by Jayvon "JJ" Robinson and Xavier Goode. Robinson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 assists, while Goode scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Robinson is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Si?kis Reels, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Fitch's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for East Lyme, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
Fitch's road trip will continue as they head out to face Valley Regional at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for East Lyme, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Amistad at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully East Lyme is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Connecticut (they are ranked 50th, while Amistad is ranked 125th).
