The Hawthorne Hornets entered their tilt with the Eastside Rams with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Hawthorne snuck past Eastside with a 41-36 victory on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hawthorne also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
Jhalea Jackson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of De' Mya Adams, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Hawthorne pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Eastside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawthorne will take on Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Trenton is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Eastside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Eastside is ranked 174th).
