After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wesley Chapel, the Springstead Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Weeki Wachee 78-48 on the road. With that win, Springstead brought their scoring average up to 54.5 points per game.
Niko Cordello was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Cordero, who scored 12 points.
Weeki Wachee's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Arthur Madden, who scored 11 points. Isaac Priester was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The victory got Springstead back to even at 2-2. As for Weeki Wachee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Springstead will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weeki Wachee, they will head out on the road to face off against East Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully East Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
