Tanner has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Tanner was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Baleigh Tullos was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 21  runs the game before, Gautier was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  on Tuesday. They suffered a  rough 11-2 loss at the hands of Wayne County.
 East Central's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Gautier, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost eight of their last nine contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record  this season.
 Everything went East Central's way against Gautier in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 as East Central made off with  an  11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Central since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
