Patriot - Stripes recap September 10, 2013
Lutheran West moved up to 401 from 520 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Patriot - Stripes. The Longhorns climbed the ranks as a result of beating Hawken 29-28.
Clearview took down John Marshall 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Roger Engle threw for 200 yards and 5 touchdowns during the win.
Jay Banyasz and Jacob Kleinhenz gave Columbia a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Banyasz threw for 319 yards and 5 touchdowns, while Kleinhenz ran for 96 yards. Teammate Owen Barta added to the ground attack by rushing for 55 yards.

Lance Billings was the best wideout in the league this week as the Clippers bested the Lawyers. Billings racked up 5 receptions for 127 yards. Gerrell Williams helped Clearview's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 47 yards.
He went 14-22 with 0 interceptions.
Banyasz put up the best numbers through the air as Columbia defeated South Central. Banyasz's favorite target this week was Tyler Edmiston, who caught 5 passes for 114 yards.
Kleinhenz was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Clearview's Engle and Billings have formed a dream team this season, leading Patriot - Stripes in both passing and receiving yards. Engle has thrown for 463 yards this season, while Billings has 9 catches for 229 yards. Jason Ward's team's Banyasz leads the league in rushing yards with 241.
Lutheran West and the Hawks played the closest game in the league this week, with Lutheran West eventually emerging with a 29-28 victory.
