The Uniontown Red Raiders waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Berlin Brothersvalley by a score of 67-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Uniontown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamire Braxton led the charge by scoring 18 points. K'Adrian McLee was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
Despite the loss, Berlin Brothersvalley still got an impressive performance from Pace Prosser, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds. Prosser hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Craig Jarvis, who scored 14 points.
Uniontown pushed their record up to 19-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-2.
Uniontown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will head out on the road to square off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
