Santa Fe has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe and P.K. Yonge are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Santa Fe pushed their score all the way to 71 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 80-71 to Newberry.
Meanwhile, P.K. Yonge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Eastside by a score of 51-44.
Among those leading the charge was Jantzen Griffin, who scored 17 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jack Muller was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
The last time Santa Fe won on the road was back last Thursday. Having now lost three straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 1-3. As for P.K. Yonge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Santa Fe was able to grind out a solid victory over P.K. Yonge when the teams last played back in December of 2021, winning 63-54. Will Santa Fe repeat their success, or does P.K. Yonge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
