Douglas had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with  a   12-9  win over the Reed Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
 Camryn McLelland was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   ten  hits. McLelland was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Cameron Coats and  Ava Gildea did most of the damage at the plate:  Coats  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI, while  Gildea  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Peyton Simpson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
Reed's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Douglas will have a chance to go back-to-back against Reed: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday.
