The Southern Christian Patriots lost against the Wiregrass Kings last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Southern Christian was dealt a 75-37 loss at the hands of Wiregrass. Southern Christian has not had much luck with Wiregrass recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Riley Treadaway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wiregrass, scoring 23 points. That's the first time this season that Treadaway scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Treadaway , who scored 13 points.
Southern Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Wiregrass, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Evangel Christian at 2:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Wiregrass will finish 2023 at home by hosting Oak Park Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. Oak Park Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
