Alexander Central lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chad Lasher, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carter Fortner, who scored 11 points.
Alexander Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Ashe County, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander Central on the road again on Tuesday and play against Watauga at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Ashe County, they will face off against Hibriten at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hibriten is on a six-game streak of home losses, Ashe County a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
