The Colorado Academy Mustangs stacked a third blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over Stargate School. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Colorado Academy has managed all season.
Colorado Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Mckee, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mckee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clyde Love, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Stargate School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Rusch, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Roark, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Colorado Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Stargate School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Colorado Academy will be playing at home against Forge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forge Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Stargate School, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Jefferson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday.
